International Graduate Students' Association (IGSA) @ Texas A&M University: 2008-09 Apr 24'2008: IGSA is a Students' Body of International Masters' Students at Texas A&M University across all disciplines. The primary objective of this organization is to 'represent and support' the international graduate students at Texas A&M University through advocacy, diversity, and networking. I have been elected as the President of the Association. Other Officers include: Anuj Chaudhry: VP- Advocacy, Sung Hyuk Park: VP- Programs, Bhagyashree Joshi: VP- Communications, Jay Shah: VP- Resources, Ameet Juriani: Volunteer Three movies screened During the Annual Global Alumni Meet Mar 29'2008: The series of the three short documentary movies, all shot with DVD-camcorders, featuring the MSLD program at Texas A&M University was an attraction during the annual global alumni meet for real estate development graduates of TAMU. The movies, each of an average three minutes duration, were the outcome of team efforts exhibited by Real Estate Development Association (REDA) with contributions from Pakpoom 'Ohm' Tudsri (Thailand), Norapat 'Boy' Hattagam (Thailand), Jae Woong Won (S. Korea) and Andrew Guajardo (USA). The banquet was attended by several alumni from across the globe including the Ex- Director of Development, Walmart China. These three movies directed by me feature three different aspects of the program: its curriculum, the alumni; and the outgoing program director. CITYSCAPE Magazine, Dubai publishes the paper titled 'Foreign Direct Investment in Indian Real Estate Market' Dec 31'2007: Cityscape is part of IIR Middle East who are a global events and conference company based in Dubai. Cityscape Market Intelligence Service is part of Cityscape events, which has been running for 6 years and have exhibitions and conferences in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Singapore, Shanghai, Brazil and new for 2008, in New York. My paper titled 'Foreign Direct Investment in Indian Real Estate Market', which was authored for Real Estate Law of MS-Land & Real Estate Program (MSLD) at Texas A&M University has been published in the online CMIS journal (URL: www.cityscapemis.com). The paper may also be accessed at this webpage: REDA (Real Estate Development Association) Sep 1'2007: REDA is an association patronized by Texas A&M University to facilitate the interaction between academics and the profession. It is primarily associated to Land& Real estate development Program (MSLD) at the College of Architecture. I am elected the new Marketing chair for the association who will be responsible for various activities that increase the visibility of the association. Joining HCL Infinet, as an Assoc. Product Manager, at its Corporate Office in Noida. Feb 5th, 2007: HCL Infinet, presently a 100% subsidiary of HCL InfoSystems is to be merged with its parent company soon. It is the market leader in IT-Systems integration. I join the Team as an Associate Product Manager at its Corporate office in Noida, India. I shall be setting up a new Business initiative, and manage the same. I shall be reporting to the G.M., Sales and Marketing. "Infinity" selected as one of the 10 best IT projects of 2006 by Computerworld USA. Dec 20th, 2006: Infinity Channel, The Global Dynamic Digital Signage of TCS (my previous employers) was setup and managed by me. This was an important component of the parent "Infinity" project of TCS which has been selected as one of the 10 best IT projects of 2006 by Computerworld USA. The Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of TCS is supposed to receive the award in March 2007. Science Reporter Magazine Publishes our paper on Virtual Architecture in September issue Science Reporter is a 'Council of Scientific and Industrial Research'(Govt of India) publication. This popular magazine publishes our research on modern trends in Virtual Reality and Architecture. The paper also deals in extrapolating the present situation for future. The initiative is covered by TCS magazine '@TCS' in its August'2006 issue. It is to cover my participation in Indo Danish HCI Research Symposium. The organizers and the review panel appreciated the paper in their mail to the head of Internal Branding and Communication and my supervisor. The visuals will soon be uploaded on this link >> Indo-Danish HCI Research Symposium-IIT Guwahati: May'2006. I represent TCS as a Corporate Delegate at Indo Danish HCI research Sympoium held at IIT Guwahati on 14-15 May. It was organized by IIT Guwahati and Copenhagen Business School. The symposium was an interesting gathering of scholars from various academic and industrial communities. Researchers from USA, Denmark, China and India presented their work. My paper was co-authored by Minu Agarwal of Infosys Technologies. It discussed 'Culture Specific Solutions for Dealing with waiting time on computer Applications'. Joining Corporate Marketing Team for an initiative of 'Internal Branding and Communication' for Digital Signage Network. April'06 After Successful completion of my previous assignment in Software Consultancy (Tata InfoTech Ltd. Integration), I have been absorbed by the Corporate Marketting team of TCS. I am working on an 'Internal Branding and Communication' initiative of Digital Signages (Plasma Monitor network). It is heartening to find my creative, technical and manegerial skills being utilized in the project. My assignment is to look after the content Management, System SetUp and content Prodction Planning for the same.
